LOCATION: Paramus, New Jersey (PARTIAL REMOTE – 2-3 days per week onsite)

Our client is seeking a Smartsheet Technical Lead to develop deep Smartsheet relevance (workflow definition, solution design, etc.) for Portfolio and Project Management.

You will serve as front-line expert for “best practice” and prospect technical issues, tracking these issues and ensuring prompt follow up and problem resolution. Forge strong

partnership with vendors to help influence and shape the roadmap.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead for the Ideation and technical development of enterprise solutions to automate and enhance business processes.

  • Guide and mentor team members regarding architecture and best practices.

  • Review and coach team on project designs for design review presentations.

  • Solve complex technical problems in our tools (Smartsheet, Daptiv, Jira, Confluence, other) environment plus improve "Operational Excellence".

  • Create a blueprint and roadmap and lead the teams through an agile process with a hands-on engineering mindset.

  • Evangelize and train/mentor IS&T and Business partners.

  • Provide development goals, promotion guidance and motivation.

  • Work with other technical leaders, architects, QA, and product owners across the organization on technical specifications and solution designs.

  • Manage developer change management process, reviewing changes and signing off on any tests before management approval and production release.

  • Maintain and evolve training tools and materials to keep our client current with the defined architecture and direction of Continuous Improvement.

  • Excellent Communications skills required.


  • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills

  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability

  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously

  • Proficient with the Project and Portfolio Management Tools (ex. MS Project, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, Google Workplace, Daptive, Primavera, etc.)

  • Exceptional/comprehensive understanding of PMLC & SDLC concepts

  • Understanding of project methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile; Iterative, SCRUM, RUP, etc.)


  • PMI, Prince or equivalent Project Management Certification preferred

  • ITIL Certification preferred but not required

  • PMI-ACP certification a plus

Education: Must have a 4 year degree.

  • There is no per diem with this position

  • There is no relocation budget for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs.

  • MUST be able to work without sponsorship or VISA transfer for this position
