Brooksby Village is a beautiful 90-acre continuing care retirement community located just 20 minutes from Boston in Peabody, Massachusetts. We’re part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing.

Our community is looking for a full-time Environmental Services Floor Tech to join our amazing Housekeeping team.

In this position, you will be responsible for trash removal, moving furniture, room set-ups, cleaning floors and carpeting with specialized equipment , and other duties as assigned.

Drivers license and weekends are required.

What you will do:

  • Maintaining cleanliness of the Community, through the use of specialized equipment.

  • Ensuring proper handling and disposal of waste.

  • Utilizing work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups.

  • Assisting with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages.

  • Trashing removal including refuse and recycling.

  • Maintaining hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need:

  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community.

  • Ability to be flexible and honor other requests from residents or departments that can be completed in the allotted time.

  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.

  • Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles

  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of verifiable licensed driving experience and a history of safe driving as noted through a three year motor vehicle record check.
