Part-time Emergency Medical / Public Safety Dispatcher
Our Security and Emergency Services team is hiring an experienced Emergency Dispatcher to oversee multiple Security & EMS systems from a central location.
In this role, you would dispatch emergency calls for service to the on-site Security and Emergency Services Officers, ambulances, and 911; track all pertinent information during the shift and initiate the first level of the incident reports; monitor security and fire systems; dispatch routine calls for service to applicable internal departments; and provide personalized customer service and hospitality that exceeds expectations.
Part-time position:
Week 1: Thursday 7:00p- 11:00p, Friday & Saturday 3:00p - 7:00p
Week 2: Friday & Saturday 3:00p - 11:00p
Compensation: $21 - $26 per hour, including shift differential, based on experience
How you will make an impact:
Track all pertinent information during your shift, and initiate the first level of the incident report for Security and Emergency Services Officer completion
Monitor the Emergency Call System for independent living
Track the status of residents involved in emergency situations
Monitor Fire Alarm System
Dispatch ambulance, private ambulances, or 911 as needed
Provide assistance to other departments, as needed

What you will need:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in 911 call-taking/dispatching or Emergency Medical Services (preferred)
Ability to maintain composure, deal calmly with emergencies and ambiguity, and to learn quickly when facing new problems. Must have situational awareness
Ability to communicate calmly with Residents, visitors, and all levels of staff; act in a reassuring manner and adept at diplomacy and tact while displaying good judgment
