North Shore Bank Systems Administrator - Hybrid Option (Peabody, MA) in Peabody, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the VP IT Systems Infrastructure, the Systems Administrator assists in all aspects of systems infrastructure support and enhancement, including architecture, design, installation, and maintenance of Bank’s internal servers and cloud technology. The primary focus of the role is the configuration, operations, and maintenance of the Bank’s Microsoft 365 tenant including Exchange Online, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, and any new Azure products the Bank adopts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting Microsoft 365 tenant including baselines, Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint sites, Exchange mailboxes, user accounts, distribution groups, and any new Azure products the Bank adopts.

  • Assist in migration from Active Directory along with custom GPOs to Intune

  • Work as a team to resolve analytics and error reports from Microsoft.

  • Deliver consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with swift resolution of any issues.

  • Review performance logs and monitors system performance of all internal and Microsoft 365 services.

  • Support and troubleshoot Server and PC hardware, application software problems and serve as a resource for internal and external customers to resolve problems. Duties include but are not limited to working in conjunction with the Bank’s System Security Administrator to monitor system patch management, virus protection, email administration, application support and security policy administration. Responsible for the recovery and immediate resolution of systems problems effecting customers and to act as a liaison with Managers, users, departments, and vendors to facilitate resolution of problems daily and in emergency situations.

  • Participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the enterprise and improve security.

  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures

  • Provides maintenance and support for technology related and system hardware. Repair, replace, install, and test equipment when and where necessary.

  • Assist with Health Checks, Compliance Audits, Gap Analysis Summary, and prioritizing remediation.

  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.

  • Providing support for mobile devices that use Office 365, including Android phones and iPhones

  • Actively assess environment and make recommendations as needed to stay in compliance with company policies.

  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring.

  • Readily volunteer and accept assignments to special tasks established to address specific issues and opportunities.

  • Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors as assigned with their respective engagements.

  • Monitor departmental procedures, making recommendations for changes to increase productivity and improve efficiencies.

  • Effectively use tools and systems to be able to self-manage, organize, and complete work independently, proactively recognizing potential obstacles resolving them before they become an issue, managing to deadlines, creating action plans when not on track, enabling job functions to happen with minimal oversite and meeting conditions of satisfaction.

  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to continue the high standard of customer service.

  • Actively participates in the formulation and testing of the Bank’s Disaster Recovery Plan.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant experience.

  • 3-5 years System Administrator experience

  • Microsoft Certifications preferred

  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Office 365 and Teams.

  • Knowledge of Exchange On-line, Intune, and Azure

  • Experience working with Azure AD for MS 365 Identity – Active Directory and Directory Synchronization (AADC/DirSync)

  • Understanding of Group Policy

  • Experience using MS365 Security and Compliance center.

  • Knowledge of MS Office 365 Suite, (Email, Calendar, Distribution groups, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, and others).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of specific software applications. Strong PC, server and network hardware skills, knowledge of LAN/WAN environment, and Microsoft server and PC operating systems.

  • Knowledgeable in the creation of SharePoint sites and the underlying security framework.

  • Understanding and applying security to MS 365 using best practices.

  • Ability to function with minimal supervision

  • A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo.

  • Solid understanding and application of administration activities with an understanding of office procedures and ability to operate standard office equipment.

  • Means and mode to travel to any of North Shore Bank locations as needed.

Please note that while this position does allow for a hybrid work option, employees are expected to be in-office at our Peabody Square location at least three days per week. Remote work requires regular business hours. Additional circumstances apply.
