UCP of Western Massachusetts AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Job Type: Part Time (Full Time hours available if desired) Schedule: 18 hours/week; 3 days a week Location: Pittsfield, MA, 01201 The AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff will provide one-on-one care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Pittsfield, MA area. The ideal candidate will have availability for to work three days per week. The AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals they are working with. AWC Direct Care Staff Responsibilities: - Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Provide emotional support and companionship - Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities - Assist with meal preparation and feeding - Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals - Document and report any changes in behavior or health status - Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals AWC Direct Care Staff Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Benefits include: - Sign on Bonus Program - Vacation, personal time and sick leave benefits - 403(b) retirement program - Mileage reimbursement - Employee referral program and more!
