Starbase Technologies is an established injection mold and aerospace machining and fabrication company, expanding due to recent sales growth supporting the next generation of business. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinist with Team management experience for 1st shift Production Supervisor. This is a leadership role working with other department leadership to ensure correct and timely production planning and quality. The right candidate will bring expertise in precision (.0001") 3/4/5-axis machining for Injection Mold and Aerospace part fabrication. 1st Shift Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm. Mon-Thursday Friday & Weekend OT options, as work-load demands. The CNC Production Supervisor will work directly with existing veteran CNC machinists, mold makers and vendors with the responsibility of operating machine setup, overseeing cutting operations, and continually improving the machine center performance. The Production supervisor will also collaborate daily with Purchasing, Scheduling team members to insure timely completion and communication of all jobs. In exchange, Starbase will support the onboarding for this role by providing 6months of process and transitional leadership training. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage project load and machine-center utilization to maintain throughput and capacity. Successful candidate will be able to understand job flow, and production planning methods, set-up jobs across multiple machine centers, and manage production staff for continual improvements and increased productivity. Read and interpret engineering instructions, travelers, etc. and possess good verbal and written communication skills, as well as good math skills. Read and interpret blueprints. Operators must have good interpersonal skills and work well with colleagues and management. Candidate should also have ability to back-up production with hands-on support. From time-to-time, setup and operate multi-axis CNC Milling and/or Lathe machines according to engineering specifications or operation sheets/work instructions. Must take pride in their work, and work environment. Candidate must be open to working with cross-department leadership in a proactive manner to ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery remain utmost priority. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to manage multiple job flows through multiple machine centers. 2. Knowledgeable of in process inspection techniques, standards, and requirements. Able to use and interpret precision measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and various hand tools, i.e., gauges to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of components. 3. Familiarity with: Machining principles, Machining operations, CMM & Inspection equipment, EDM principles, Injection mold fabrication, ISO-World-Class Component quality 4. Oversee operator set-up and performance according to engineering specifications, instructions, and operation sheets. 5. Willing and capable of operating Vertical CNC Mills when needed. 6. Familiarity with bar-coding and traveler management a plus. Subject to the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Production Team Members shall... Execute duties in a manner that will accomplish the Company's ISO, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives Apply standard work procedures and assure accuracy and timeliness in all areas of responsibility. Uphold the Quality Policy of the Company and comply with associated procedures. Education: Technical or Vocational training degree and/or related field experience Experience: 8-10 years minimum experience in tool/die/aerospace precision machining environments. 5years minimum experience leading teams of 5-10people
