Part-Time Temporary Community Programs Assistant Gig Location: Williamstown Pay: \$22/hour Hours: 20 hours/week, Mon-Fri, some Saturdays Assignment Length: 2-3 Months, TBD TEC is assisting a local organization with a temporary placement in their Programs/Art Event space. This candidate will primarily be responsible for providing support to the Director of Education and Program Coordinator by helping with material prep, storage, event staffing and joining the community in the event. Job Responsibilities: - Assist in staffing the Community Engagement Programs and providing a warm, inclusive and welcoming environment for visitors - Prepare art materials and help set up program events - Help brainstorm new program activities with education department staff - Organize and put away program materials after an event ends - Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: - H.S. diploma or equivalent preferred - Love of art-making and experience with a variety of art media and techniques - The ideal candidate will understand how engaging with art connects people, expands perspectives, and promotes individual and social well-being - Experience working with the public required - Ability to sit at a desk/workstation and use a computer for prolonged periods of time - Ability to stand for up to four hours - Ability to bend and reach - Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
