Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking two Electrician/Spot Operators to join our team in Pittsfield, MA. This position aids in ensuring high quality lighting for every performance throughout the BSC 2024 season. This position requires an independent individual with knowledge of theatrical lighting systems that is able to work with a team to reach the artistic goals of the production. Responsibilities: - Assist in providing all lighting support for productions throughout the BSC 2024 season, as directed by the Lighting Supervisor - Assist with the hang, focus and strike of lighting instruments - Aid in the construction of specialty items such as light boxes or star drops - Help maintain lighting instruments, lighting equipment and tools, projection equipment, video monitors and cameras - Keep the electrics shop as well as the lighting booth for the venue clean and organized throughout the season - Operate Spot lights as assigned and perform show duties as necessary Skills: - Knowledge of theatrical lighting systems and equipment - Working knowledge of the ETC family of lighting consoles helpful - Experience maintaining and repairing conventional and moving lights - Working knowledge of theatrical rigging, electricity, wiring - Soldering experience preferred - Ability to work as part of a team but also take on individual responsibilities - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortable working at heights This position reports to the Lighting Supervisor, Assistant Lighting Supervisor, and Head Electrician. It is full-time, seasonal position Contract A & B: 5/13/2024 through 9/16/2024 Pay is \$17.50 per hour, with housing included.
