Estimator/Project Management Assistant in Pittsfield, MA Salary: \$50k - \$55k (DOE) Schedule: Mon-Fri: 7a-3:30p Location: Pittsfield, Ma Job Description: Our clients, a local plumbing and HVAC company, is looking to hire an Assistant Estimator/Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with Client\'s competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those throughout the bidding process. Along with assisting the Sr. Estimator/Project Manager with applicable forms, and communication for all on going- and or new projects. Responsibilities: - Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process - Assist in completing Takeoff\'s for appropriate projects, future projects - Read and understand quotes and proposals from vendors and subcontractors - Assisting in Preparation of accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates and prepare detailed project estimates including cost, schedule and contract requirements - Work with Accounts Receivable to bill and collect payment - Order needed material and equipment through appropriate channels. - Assist Project manager in appropriate staff scheduling and approval of timesheets - Meet all Deadlines for applicable requirement) - Work Closely with Project Manager to Ensure that job gets completed on time, under budget, and communicate barriers (if any). - Perform other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: - Solid Understanding of basic estimating programs with appropriate internal training - Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans and specification with appropriate internal training. - Strong Communication Skills - Ability to work independently
