Barrington Stage Company seeks an EVENTS & SALES MANAGER to join the team. Special events, space rentals and group sales are a crucial part of Barrington Stage Company\'s identity. We are looking for a skilled professional to execute dynamic & engaging events & rentals to strengthen our organization\'s unique culture. The Events & Sales Manager will be responsible for: preparing the elements of all BSC events, the logistical execution and handling of these events, and delivering on the clients\' vision; Identifying, negotiating, contracting and executing private and non-ticketed rentals; Research and engagement with prospective groups to sell group tickets to BSC\'s productions. Successful candidates will be self-starters with a knack for engaging with all types of people and reaching beyond annual sales goals. They will have exemplary preparation & organization skills and be able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure. The Events and Sales Manager is a full-time, year-round, salaried position. Schedule will include some nights and weekends throughout the summer season. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage all aspects of events and act as onsite manager ensuring they are delivered effectively and professionally - Support the Director of Guest Services & Sales\' growth and sales goals - Prepare effective correspondence, negotiate rate agreements with clients and maintain internal booking reports - Build relationships with the region\'s organizations, develop new prospects, interact with existing customers to uncover opportunities, leads, and ultimately leads/sales - Collaborate with Marketing Department to promote rental spaces on relevant social media sites (e.g, Pinterest, Instagram, wedding websites) - Achieve revenue goals by booking and executing logistically successful rentals and group sales EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: - College degree or equivalent experience - 2+ years experience in event planning and/or logistics - Previous experience in sales - Background in a theatre environment preferred - A collaboratively driven team player with a \"can do\" attitude and positive spirit - Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail - Ability to lift, carry or pull up to 25lbs. This position is a full-time, salaried position. Salary range is \$50-60k, commensurate with experience. All applications must be submitted by February 7, 2025 for consideration.
