Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center Infant/Toddler/Preschool Float Teacher in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
The Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Full-Time Infant/Toddler/Preschool Float Teacher to join our Early Education team. The Float Teacher will work with different classrooms, supporting the infant, toddler, and preschool programs as needed. This position is vital in ensuring consistency of care and high-quality education across our early education classrooms. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing the development of young children. Key Responsibilities: - Provide care and support in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, filling in as needed based on classroom ratios and staffing needs. - Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children ages infants to 5 years. - Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. - Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including diapering, feeding, and monitoring nap times. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of children\'s progress and incidents. - Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center and all applicable licensing and accreditation standards. - Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required. Qualifications: - Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Associate\'s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. - EEC certification in Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool teaching required. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, parents, and staff. - Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and build rapport with staff and children of various ages. - CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Must pass a background check and meet health requirements as per state regulations.
