Berkshire Health Systems Occupational Therapy Assistant in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provides treatment for patients with a wide variety of disabilities to help them achieve a maximum level of functional independence. Documents patient care and results of treatment, appropriately in the medical record to comply with policies and procedures of the department and regulatory agencies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Two year experience preferred. Entry-level acceptable.
Education and Training:
Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapist assistant with an Associate’s degree in area of major. Ability to comprehend and write the English language.
License, Certification & Registration:
MACOTA - MA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
CPR - CPR is required.
Other Requirements:
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
