Berkshire Health Systems Performance Improvement Program Manager in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Performance Improvement Program Manager oversees, develops, and enhances organization wide systems for quality outcomes and performance improvement,and will work collaboratively with patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes and infection prevention.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience in health care quality and performance improvement is required.
Prior management experience preferred.
Experience with group leadership and facilitation required.
Evidence of strong computer skills required.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality required.
RN with Mass license preferred.
Lean/6 Sigma certification required.
Project management certification required.
Other Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of Performance Improvement tools.
Understands health outcomes measurement and analysis.
Demonstrates systems thinking, including integration within the health system and community partners as it related to population health.
Possesses an understanding of health system electronic health record (EHR).
Demonstrates leadership ability in stressful situations. Always maintains professional conduct.
Ability to work with and facilitate cooperative process improvement activities among individuals, multidisciplinary teams and across departments.
Maintains strong computer skills to support data collection and transforming data into actionable information, (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, VISIO)
Establishes and maintains effective relationships.
Demonstrates excellent conflict resolution skills.Works independently to organize and prioritize projects, departments, teams, and committees.
Works with confidential information with a knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws required
Demonstrates excellent presentation skills utilizing available formats (person-to-person, data boards, PowerPoint, Dashboards, etc.)
Teaches staff and directors appropriate quality-related information in an effective format.
