Berkshire Health Systems Project Coordinator in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the coordination of parties and information related to special projects as defined by department management and/or consultants working with the Health System on projects relative to the Medical Record Department. Refine projects to clarify project definitions including the expected outcomes, time lines, and developing a process for measurement using the appropriate software programs. Organizes project to include appropriate staff, whether temporary, inter, intra departmental and/or Government and third party payers when necessary to the project.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
5 years of Medical Record experience.
Computer experience using windows programs such as Project, Excel, Word, etc. in addition to demonstrated proficiency in the Meditech program.
Education and Training:
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a combination of college and 5 years experience in a Medical Record Department required
Bachelor Degree preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:
RHIT preferred
