Performs Senior Financial Analyst role at the Plainridge Park Casino, Plainville, MA and may have responsibility for analysis at the Hollywood Casino, Bangor Maine property requiring licensing there.
Performs market analysis using historical data to forecast the market trends and determine market elasticity.
Market analysis includes understanding the seasonality, marketing programs, capacity constraints, future expansion plans and regulatory changes in order to predict competitor market growth.
Works closely with all levels of management to generate and analyze the Annual Capital and Operating Budgets.
Performs marketing analysis including Direct Mail, Events, Promotions, and Player Events. Provides recommendations to Sr. Management regarding the possible improvement of future programs.
Analysis of other EBITDA generating projects, either by revenue driving initiatives or expense controls, culminating in actionable recommendations for Sr. Management.
Ensures systems and methods are in place to gather data in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
Analyzes data to identify trends for use in forecasts and budgets.
Develops and maintains communication vehicles to distribute key operating metrics and analytical findings.
Assists in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecast.
Compares actual operating results to budget and prior year.
Assists in the development of presentations for budget meetings and operational reviews.
Monitors labor costs and report to financial team and operations departments.
Prepares ad-hoc reporting.
Pro-actively assists co-workers as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute multiple tasks at once.
Maintains open communication with management and staff.
Displays the ability to be a team player and interface with other departments to develop key relations to insure maximum efficiency in completing job tasks.
Accurately prioritizes, organizes, and completes multiple tasks.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Must PowerPoint, Internet Explorer). Must be able to navigate the internet. Knowledge in VBA and/or SQL is preferred.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must possess a high level of organizational skills
Must be detail-oriented
Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
