OCB’s Billing Department has a great opportunity available for Full-time Third Party Billing Representatives. The position is located in our Plymouth location offering 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8-4:30PM.
The position is responsible for the timely resolution of unpaid medical claims with duties including A/R follow-up, resolving referral denied claims and verification of patient eligibility and coverage with insurance carriers. Provide a high level of customer service over the phone addressing patient inquiries.
Problem solving - identifying problems and proposing solutions
Self-starter, decision maker, experience working in a high volume setting
Management of patient referrals and claim resolution
Detail oriented and diligent to obtain and resolve referral issues for patient accounts
Knowledge of insurance plans and eligibility verification
Requesting surgical precertification to obtain authorizations
Commitment to providing high level of patient customer service, calling on referrals
The ideal candidate should be experienced in all aspects of medical billing, such as; collections, ICD9 and CPT4 coding & 3rd Party Billing. The ideal candidate should be experienced in all aspects of medical billing, such as; collections, ICD9 and CPT4 coding & 3rd Party Billing
Education/Experience:
The ideal candidate requires experience working in a medical practice or in third party medical billing.
Customer service experience, ability to communicate with patients and doctors offices on the telephone.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, ICD and CPT codes
College degree preferred
