About this role
Directs the Risk Management Department. Evaluates events, patterns/trends, and keeps appropriate levels of staff informed about events and makes recommendations to reduce such events. Performs orientation and training in Corporate Compliance, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Risk Management.
Additional Details
Occasional evening or weekend, based on operational needs.
What you bring to the table
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
- Two years current experience in Risk Management or two years of college with a minimum of three years current experience in Risk Management in a health care or mental health setting.
Licenses/Certifications:
- State Licensed in Risk Management
What you will do
Review, investigate and report on events. Investigates allegations of served persons' rights violations, abuse, neglect, exploitation and grievances.
Collects, aggregates, evaluates, and reports out on data regarding incidents, adverse events, seclusion and restraint, manual holds, staff injuries, and other risk management activities as appropriate.
Assist Regulatory Agencies with Internal Audits.
Reviews, edits, and tracks information on all events reported in the internal reporting and tracking system.
Event reports are reviewed prior to Morning Report each workday. Is prepared to discuss events with Medical/Clinical Director and other members of management each workday.
Reports to Corporate and outside agencies are timely, accurate and thorough.
Filing of documents, preparation of presentations and report collection are organized and timely.
Maintains OSHA logs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
