Job Description:
UNIT DESCRIPTION:
The Critical Care Center is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hour intensivist coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues.
Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).
Minimum Requirements:
Current Massachusetts RN license.
Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.
Minimum of 2 years, within the past year, telemetry experience
Strong current evaluation and evidence of up to date documented professional development requirements.
Written recommendation from current manager to include demonstrated ability to perform under stressful situations, problem solve and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
BSN preferred.
Evidence of completion of Critical Care Course or equivalent preferred.
Current Charge nurse experience preferred.
CCRN preferred.
Willing to train in complex setting.
Previous experience working in Critical Care environment, including caring for patients with ventilators, critical infusions, or hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
