Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Inspector to support our Water Business line be based in Pocasset, MA.

This position is expected to begin immediately.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Works under supervision but at times will need to work independently.

  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, drawings, shop drawings and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

  • Oversight of multiple sewer line construction crews.

  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

  • Interacts and communicates with construction manager and/or superintendent.

  • Serves as a liaison between AECOM staff and the contractor.

  • Tracks payment quantities and work completed on a daily basis.

  • Participates in daily coordination meetings with AECOM staff.

  • Coordinates with Town staff, police and fire departments

  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.

  • Tracks quality assurance progress.

  • Reviews Record Drawings and provides comments based on actual installed components.


Minimum Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma.

  • 6 years of Construction related experience.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

  • Roadway & sewer related experience.

  • Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (MA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $29.36. - $54.31.
