• Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs/projects or subsystems of major programs/projects, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.• Directs all phases of program/projects from inception through completion.• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing programs/projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.• Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.• Establishes/coordinates design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.• Establishes program milestones and monitors adherence to plans/schedules.• Facilitates the appointment of individuals to project delivery teams.• Backlog management/execution, planning analysis, and exception reporting.• Determines reasons and coordinates solutions for production manufacturing shortfalls.• Determines reasons and plans response for shortfalls in program revenue targets.• Manages and tracks non-recurring engineering (NRE) expensing and billing.• Facilitates regular, professional team meetings across program team with active follow-up action items.• Communicates complex issues/gain consensus with the engineering, production, quality, and other stakeholders.• Reads engineering drawings, technical documents, and schematics and relates any important changes to engineering and other functional groups.• Understands materials and enterprise resource planning.• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.• Review customer solicitations and manages the preparation of timely and accurate cost, management, and technical proposals to achieve the solicitation’s requirements.• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities (including major program milestones), leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.• Monitors, controls, and communicates to corporate management the status of programs/projects, with attention to resource utilization, project costs, and risk management.• Utilizes technical leadership expertise to build effective teams.• Provides input to employee performance appraisals.• Utilizes positive leadership style to build motivated teams.• Utilizes effective supervisory skills to improve processes, resolve conflicts.
What you will do
Responsible for the profit and loss (P and L) of a complex program(s). Responsible for providing program management oversight to a single customer requiring coordination of program requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Program may be based out of a single location utilizing established technologies requiring standard application to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands services with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.
What we are looking fro
6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
Must have active secret clearance LI-MH1
