J&J Family of Companies Senior Program Manager Digital Solutions in Raynham, Massachusetts

Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies is recruiting for a Sr. Program Manager, Digital Solutions, to be located in Raynham, MA.

The Digital Platform Center of Excellence is a new Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices initiative intended to build the digital platform portfolio for the Medical Devices Sector. This will be accomplished by building dedicated engineering and product development teams to deliver critical platforms.


The Sr. Program Manager, Digital Solutions will report to the Director of Digital Solutions. In this newly created position, the Sr. Program Manager, Digital Solutions will lead project activities related to the development of new digital solutions across the patient continuum of care, to reduce costs and improve outcomes.

The Sr. Program Manager, Digital Solutions will be responsible for overall execution of product development activities, including establishing key performance indicators, performance metrics and risk mitigation activities. This will require collaboration with in-house teams, cross J&J teams, cross-functional teams, and external partners to align project deliverables with business objectives.


  • Develop project plans and coordinate with project and extended team members, assuring alignment on the strategy, definition of success, and appropriate resourcing required of project execution.

  • Develop program metrics to align with supporting stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability of supporting efforts.

  • Plan and manage software deployments for new products launches and/or major enhancements to existing products.

  • Use the appropriate mix of traditional and agile project and program management best practices.

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

  • Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner

  • Ultimately accountable for team’s compliance with approved Project Charters, Design Controls, and Change Management.

  • Measure and report effectiveness of new programs

  • Exercise leadership in removing project roadblocks and articulating potential project risks.

  • Problem solve and find solutions for unique or one-off projects and issues.

  • Participate meaningfully in strategic and technical discussion and decisions.

Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills in both team and management review environments are critical for success in this position. He/she will need to effectively navigate in a matrix global organization and leverage relationships with key business stakeholders to deliver tangible results, communicate needs and issues to drive customer-focused solutions. To ensure timely execution of project objectives, the candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to provide efficient escalation of issues to the appropriate accountable party.

Demonstrated successful experience with project or program management and the ability to lead teams and influence others is crucial for this position. The ability to function in a multi-cultural global environment, strong data analysis skills and capability to provide clear presentation of data are also critical skills for this position.


  • 10+ years program/project management work experience in software development or IT is required

  • 5+ years planning and implementation management in healthcare, technology, financial systems, or clinical systems Healthcare IT and/or Medical devices experience is preferred.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required (in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline is preferred).

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or MBA) is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Project Management methodologies (e.g., PMX) is required.

  • PMP Certification is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance changes in scope, resources, and timing on projects while managing risks and maintaining determined focus on customer satisfaction is required.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload is required

  • Advanced knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle practices, with experience on long term or multi-phased project is required.

  • Experience in new product development, Enterprise software solutions, IoT, Cloud based solutions is preferred.

  • Consistently high level of professional communication is required.

  • Must have strong leadership skills.

  • This position may require up to 25% travel including international
