The ideal candidate would be a Computer Engineering major that is interesting in writing High and Low Level Firmware Code, and is not afraid of diving into Electronic schematics.


  • The person needs to have a solid understanding/experience with C/C and preferably assembly language.

  • Good to have: Understanding/exposure to Linux, UML and Visual Basic, and ability to understand basic schematics (digital/analog).

Topic: This individual would work on the next generation Visualization, Fluid Management and Tissue Debridement Systems, within the DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine group. The person would work on research and development projects under the guidance of our Software and Electrical Engineers to develop logic/firmware for the new product line.


  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Computer Science engineering.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) during the co-op assignment. Only students in their sophomore year or above will be considered. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.

This position is located in Raynham, MA. Students must be able to provide their own transportation, since this location is not within walking distance from the train station. Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.BE VITAL in your career.
