The Senior Project Manager will work for the DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine business which develops, manufactures, and markets innovative solutions for a wide range of minimally invasive mobility therapies, including arthroscopic repair devices for shoulder, knee, and hip pathologies. The candidate will lead a cross-functional, new product development team through design feasibility, implementation, verification, process verification/validation, and risk management of Class I-II medical devices / capital equipment. The individual will set clear expectations for the project team, establish roles and responsibilities, track and motivate the team to complete work on time utilizing Agile methodology and planning tools. This candidate will be responsible for communication of project status to all project partners: project meeting minutes, regular presentations, monthly updates and any status or project information needed. This individual must demonstrate a passion for guiding the team to find solutions to complex problems, possess strong communication skills & ability to collaborate across functions & our development partners to achieve goals.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required.
Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is highly preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development is required.
A minimum of 3 years of project management experience required (Agile methods preferred).
Experience leading a multi-functional team required.
Experience in translating marketing/user requirements to system requirements and experience validating user needs through VoC feedback and clinical testing
Demonstrated problem-solving ability required.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
Experience in a regulated industry required.
The ability to work within a cadaver lab and operating room setting is required.
Demonstrated experience working with partners to develop project plans and project risk analyses for all assigned projects.
Willing to work in medical environments such as cadaver labs and Operating Rooms is required.
Lead and support various aspects of Design Control, Requirements Management, Verification & Validation (V&V), Planning, Design Methods throughout the full development lifecycle.
Lead project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
Experience with JIRA and Microsoft Project preferred.
Well organized, self-motivated, creative, resourceful, strong work ethic, leadership, and collaboration qualities.
Must demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration qualities.
This position is in Raynham, MA and may require up to 10% travel including international.
