Sanofi Group Global Project Team (GPT) Coaching Leader in Reading, United Kingdom

Position Overview:

The Global Project Team (GPT) Office will support the implementation of the overall development strategy to increase the empowerment and functioning of the GPTs. This role will work directly with individual GPTs ensuring successful set up, provide on-demand support and coaching to GPT leaders and team members to enable team agility and sustain high performance.The GPT Coach will have to maintain a high level of confidentiality and be able to work independently across functions and levels, while supporting collaboration and partnership between the GPT members and operational leads.

The GPT Coaching Leader will report to the Head of the GPT Office. The GPT Coach will also actively contribute to the development of guidance, best practices, trainings and communications for the GPTs, help in building the One Development community via the Global Project Head (GPH) forums and Global Development Forums, and act as an agent of the “Play to Win” culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-demand support and coaching to 4-6 GPTs on an ongoing basis:

  • Collaborate with the Global Project Head and Manager to drive team development and performance.

  • Introduce and drive adoption of high performing team principles and agile ways of working.

  • Support GPT with / facilitate team set up, definition of norms, team lessons learned, team building activities, etc.

  • Support empowerment of GPT member line functions and ensuring strong contribution/input from all functions including RWE, Patient Centricity, Medical Affairs, PV, GRA, and others.

  • Collect and share relevant best practices, facilitating cross-GPT knowledge sharing.

  • Guide the GPT through the Development organization resources, as required.

  • Contribute in evolving and implementing GPT roles’ competencies, training curriculum, on-boarding & training roadmap and materials.

  • Contribute in evolving and documenting Sanofi-wide GPT operating principles, taking into account the evolution of the internal and external environment factors.

  • Support GPT Office communication, by creating and disseminating relevant content, promoting learnings, best practices and “Play to Win” culture.

  • Help in building a knowledge platform and drive knowledge sharing across the GPT community, including preparation and facilitation of GPH Forums, Global Development Forums and cross-functional roundtables.

  • Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of the GPT Office capabilities.

  • Lead / Contribute to work streams impacting GPT/GPHs and initiate work streams, as needed, to support simplification/refinement of processes, implementation of best practices, or other.

  • Actively contribute to the GPT Office in delivering its objectives and show value to the GPTs and the Development organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Drug Development and Global Project Team environment (5 – 10 years).

  • Experience in coaching teams and developing team members via characterization, training, workshop, 1-1 coaching, etc.

  • Experience in working with cross-functional and globally dispersed Drug Development teams.

  • Direct experience in leading (min 3 years), and managing or being an active / contributing member (min 5 years) of high performing teams preferred.

  • A good appreciation of the levers enhancing team agility and effectiveness, optimizing leadership, communication, and knowledge management.

  • A demonstrated ability to influence without authority to become a credible, respected and influential partner to TA Heads, Global Project Heads, and functional members of the GPTs.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to understand, analyse and synthesize complex issues down to concise and practical actionable items.

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills to multiple stakeholder groups (senior management, cross-functional teams, functional organizations, transversal groups).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality fit-for-purpose deliverables e.g. presentation materials, guidance documents, training materials, analysis tools, etc.

  • Strong collaboration skills with an ability to build positive working relationship with teams and other organization stakeholders

  • Agile project management skills through demonstrated management of responsibilities and timely delivery.

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven, with an ability to work independently directly with teams.

Minimum Level of any Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
