Your Opportunity:

Would you like to join a team dedicated to delivering high-impact content to students, researchers, and medical and business professionals? As Content Integration Manager, you’ll have a powerful opportunity to improve our end users’ experience with searching, discovering, and consuming the research metadata and full text content that meets their needs. You’ll coach, guide, mentor, and develop the team responsible for designing, building, and enhancing our Discovery and Research products. You’ll be a thought partner for your team, the leadership team, and business teams across Product Management, Technology, and Publisher Relations. You’ll work hands-on with engineers, driving execution, removing obstacles, and helping the team relentlessly improve. You’ll contribute excellent communication skills, passion for team engagement, metrics and data-driven decision making, and systems thinking in a fast-paced environment that thrives on continuous improvement.

This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories)

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities):

  • Manage and grow a team of Content Integration Engineers, across functions that include publisher outreach, content processing, vendor and partner management, and data transformation.

  • Attract, recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Cultivate leaders.

  • Coach for strong collaboration and shared accountability, with a focus on thoughtful, fast, and disciplined execution.

  • Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team challenges. Build positive, trust-based culture.

  • Coach team on building trust through high-quality, thoughtful, and consistent delivery of projects that vary in complexity and size.

  • Support our partner organization in India and our vendor partners responsible for daily content production.

Your Team:

You will be welcomed as a member of Metadata Mapping and Transformation team (known as team "Cartographers"), a team of 5-7 Content Integration Engineers who own the end-to-end content lifecycle, from working with publishers, to content extraction, transformation, and loading. About You:

  • 7+ years of experience as a people manager, with strong coaching mindset and mentoring skills, and a track record of supporting growth and development of teams and individuals

  • 3+ years of data management experience. Includes experience in ETL operations and /or AWS cloud-based operations

  • 3+ years of experience working with standard bibliographic data and content formats including but not limited to: XML (NLM, JATs, etc), JSON, PDF, HTML, etc.

  • Bachelors Degree in Communcations, Publishing, Information Science or related field

Our Offer to You:

Target Annual Compensation Range: $ 112,790 - 161,125

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
