Position Summary:
The Director of Pharmacy Strategy & Business development (Strategy & Projects) will work on key pharmacy initiatives and support the pharmacy business lines including 340B, PACE, specialty pharmacy, mail order, and retail. The Director will play a critical role in producing data analysis and operational process creation, planning, and improvement.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in leading and supporting initiatives for NH pharmacy business in alignment with the organization’s goals: engaging key stakeholders, developing critical analyses to drive decision making, leading and advancing key pharmacy initiatives, and measuring impact. He/she/they will partner with Director of Pharmacy and work directly with the CEO and other senior leaders on a day-to-day basis. This role represents an ideal asset by providing counsel and support to executive leaders and leading priority projects.
Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with the Executive team and Director of Pharmacy to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and meet targets across all pharmacy service lines (Specialty, 340B, PACE, Purchasing & Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle, etc.) Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while outlining milestones, meeting key deadlines, and deliverables Collaborate with Pharmacy Finance to help set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and ensure the teams hit those goals In collaboration with Director of Pharmacy to develop forums and communications to link pharmacy leadership with both the broader organization and other community health center leadership Collect data across NH’s internal systems (clinical, operational, IT, HR, etc.) and conduct rigorous analysis to support decision-making Partner with IT teams to help create solutions that support operations’ analytics and workflow needs Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all departments with special focus on NH section goals (e.g. quality, growth, efficiency) Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics Develop plans for turnaround and improvement where needed, building support for the vision and managing stakeholders towards successful implementation Support executive team in identifying and pursuing expansion activities (capital projects, investments, acquisitions, alliances, etc.) Provide oversight of project management for the implementation of strategic projects, connecting work streams that might otherwise remain siloed Assist in the development and guidance of organizational initiatives aimed at closing health equity gaps
Position Responsibilities:
Help lead team development activities and promote teamwork and positive morale
Help build systems and processes to identify, hire, onboard and develop quality talent
Participate as a senior member of the operations team and help meet organizational objectives
Facilitate regular staff meetings with the team to disseminate organizational information and reviews performance against budget and plan objectives
Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and other stakeholders, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure
Be a champion for NH / Pharmacy culture and norms with organizational, client, and on-site teams, ensuring it flows through in every interaction and process
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide support for the NH Pharmacy team by modeling the organization's policies and applicable laws, and holding others to the same standards. Responsibilities include interviewing; hiring; helping to develop training materials; support in planning, assigning, and directing work; helping to address complaints and resolving problems. Must adhere to all of NH’s behavioral standards.
