This function involves: * Determine new software or enhancements/modifications and manage upgrade requests. * Understand the balance between the needs of the user and the system administration requirements, administering solutions that match the needs appropriately. * Communicating and monitoring adherence to policy Technical Competencies * Encompass Mortgage LOS Administration and process improvements * Mortgage POS Systems (e.g. SimpleNexus, Blend, etc) * Testing * Project Management * Training small to medium-size groups of Mortgage staff on new features/systems. * Business Analysis * Creative Problem Solving with Team and as an Individual Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Understands and has the ability to relate application/business requirements to the capabilities of Mortgage tools. * Understands the Mortgage lifecycle process in detail. * Demonstrates the ability to understand Mortgage Compliance issues and how to implement systems to be compliant. * Demonstrates an ability to design efficient, user friendly and visually appealing systems. * Can identify and correct basic program errors and is able to execute unit level testing. Understands performance issues and can identify/rectify bottlenecks. * Understands the basic principles, practices and terminology of data, process and event modeling. * Understands security issues. * Recognizes the need to escalate problems and knows own limitations and seeks help when needed. * Understands staging and implementing new systems. * Uses effective listening skills to develop understanding of user specifications, questions or problems. * Updates all documents affected by change as directed and documents solutions to production problems. Maintains familiarity with support documentation and tools in work place. * Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to the position. * Regular attendance is essential to this position. * Assumes additional responsibilities as requested. Understands the concepts involved with supporting small, single applications and specialized 3rd party software. Has a basic knowledge of installed application software facilities and utilities. Strong documentation and technical writing skills. This function involves the preparation and updating of problem tickets and work requests with relevant explanations. Important considerations include the clarity, accuracy and organization of material for the non-technical. The development of system definition documents, in an audience-centered manner is critical. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Encompass Mortgage LOS Administration and process improvements experience are required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Application development tools or demonstrated practical experience.
