Position Summary The MassHire North Shore Career Center (MHNSCC) is dedicated to connecting motivated career-seekers with employers and educators across the North Shore of Massachusetts with the MassHire-North Shore Workforce Board governing grant funding and execution of these efforts. The Advanced Manufacturing Training Expansion Program (AMTEP) is seeking a motivated individual to join the AMTEP team with the main goal of increasing the manufacturing employment rate for graduates of AMTEP training programs. The Manufacturing Outreach Specialist will market to the North Shore and surrounding regions, expand resources, establish relationships for student engagement activities, utilize AI and existing Labor Market Information (LMI) tools, connect AMTEP students to appropriate leads, and run manufacturing industry events. Weekly collaboration with the AMTEP Career Coaches soliciting local manufacturers, in addition to weekly exploration to identify and add new companies to the student activities and network, will be the global net in which this position operates. Workforce services for this position are mainly funded through the GE Aerospace Foundation and other small grants. Reports to: the MassHire-North Shore Career Center\'s Executive Director, in partnership with the MassHire-North Shore Workforce Board\'s AMTEP (Advanced Manufacturing Training Expansion Program) Program Manager Specific Responsibilities: \Develops and executes a broader marketing plan that increases the number of manufacturing employer partners for adult AMTEP trainees. Brings the existing 120 active manufacturing employers to 200 active manufacturing employers by securing 40 per year over the next two years to total 80 additionally-engaged manufacturing employers \Solicits manufacturing employer participation for: Class visits On-site tours Trainees\' job fair AMTEP industry events Direct placement \Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with area manufacturing employers by making personal visits to determine employer needs, communicate the AMTEP program curriculum, solicit additional competency needs, plan class tours and engagement strategies, and connect employers to other appropriate Career Center resources when needed \Ensures the Career Center AMTEP staff is aware of relevant job openings at all area manufacturing companies and coordinates placement efforts of trainees with the AMTEP Career Coaches. The Manufacturing Outreach Specialist will have shared responsibilities for the job placement of each adult student in the AMTEP Programs \Plans, organizes, and conducts job fairs, special events, and recruitments to provide large-scale labor exchange opportunities for both employers and trainees \Utilizes the Massachusetts One-Stop Employment System (MOSES) database to note activities \Provides technical assistance and regional connectivity in collaboration with the AMTEP Program Manager and the Career Center where needed \Performs other duties necessary to support AMTEP \Commits to the MassHire values of Collaboration, Respect, Reliability, and Ingenuity. Qualifications: \Bachelor\'s degree in a related field preferred; may be replaced with solid successful experience in similar projects and operations \Applicants should have three+ years of experience in business, marketing, recruitment, employment or educational counseling or a related field \Strong understanding of Environmental Justice Populations in Massachusetts and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion issues for effective interface within communities on the North Shore \Experience working in the workforce development arena with expertise in keeping partnerships cohesive and successful \Building commitment and alignment and providing information across the project team \Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated using various technology platforms such
