CCOSM is currently seeking a dynamic & detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Billing Assistant. If you have an understanding of insurance billing & excellent organizational skills, we want to hear from you! Job Summary: Maintain all patient accounts per specified insurance companies. Utilize automated internal systems to monitor & manage overdue accounts. Contact account holders to notify them of delinquent account status & facilitate payment arrangements. Record & maintain pertinent data on collection efforts & customer financial status. Perform administrative & clerical functions as needed. Job Responsibilities: Retrieve & post daily ERA/Insurance Payments for designated insurances. Process creation of claims for specified insurances. Appeal all denied claims for designated insurances within the timely filing limit. Assist patients in understanding explanation of benefits, payment policies, etc. Pull & maintain A/R reports & claim statuses for designated insurances. Provide assistance to other staff on appeals posting & other insurance/financial questions. Address all correspondences for designated insurances. Offer phone support for Billing Hunt Group. Perform scanning duties. Collect & post payments to customer accounts. Review terms of sales, service, or credit contracts, provide options to customers for debt repayment, & establish repayment schedules based on customers\' financial situations. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite & EClinical Works is a plus. Provides great customer service. Excellent time management skills & attention to detail. Ability to identify issues & creatively solve problems. Team player who\'s ready to assist wherever needed.
