Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Dispatcher is responsible for on time performance, order accuracy and maintaining customer service while driving down distribution costs.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Actively engage with customers to maximize performance and deliver first class customer service

• Dispatch trucks, track performance in real time; monitor demand, utilization, and capacity while prioritizing efficient work distribution.

• Negotiate with customers an acceptable delivery time on future days to reduce costs and set realistic expectations.

• Work daily with sales and production team to make sure all are aware of plan.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Associate's degree

Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Required Work Experience: 1-3 years of Command and Truck Tracking preferred.

Licenses Preferred: Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile

Required Computer and Software Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office Software (primarily Excel and Word)

Travel Requirements: 15%

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator

• Above average written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc)

• Ability to work in a stressful, deadline oriented environment that requires complex, technical information and decision making. Must have a strong analytical orientation

• Completion of IDP

• Achievement of logistics profit targets

• Achievement of safety objectives

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
