MassHire Metro North Workforce Board Communications Coordinator in Somerville, Massachusetts

JOB TITLE: Communications Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications Coordinator is a new role at MNWB responsible for working with the Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing to oversee both administrative processes and content development. This position is designed to 1) implement the organization\'s communications strategy through compelling and impactful digital communications creation, manage our online presence, and foster stakeholder engagement, and 2) provide organizational support for all MNWB staff to ensure access to all necessary tools and materials. Working with the Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing, the Communication Coordinator will support development of a dedicated communications strategy, create important content for social media platforms, and partner with our teams to streamline marketing goals for their departments. Additionally, they will support MNWB\'s organizational needs through employee coordination and management of technology licenses and inventory. This position is part of the Strategy and Impact team that oversees the processes for tracking the clients we serve through our programs, services, and initiatives and communicating our collective impact. This is a hybrid position. This position must have regular, in-person presence in the Metro North region. This includes: ? Regular in-office days during onboarding. ? Two in-person collaboration days per month at MNWB\'s office in Davis square, Somerville. ? In-person meetings with community organizations, partners, and employers. ?In-person job fairs and events for STEM Week. ? Graduations of training programs. ? Any other meetings, events, etc. that the supervisor deems necessary for in-person presence. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Communications (50%) Social Media Content Creator: ? Creating and editing written and visual content for our websites, newsletters, and social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, primarily), including but not limited to taking pictures, videos, utilizing data to create content, and interviewing community members (such as program participants, youth, legislators, employers) ? Design and implement a portfolio of quarterly email newsletters to be sent to stakeholders. ? Ensure the collection and organization of completed photo release forms when applicable. ? Stay current with and assess industry and social media trends, tools, platforms, innovations, and best practices. ? Review and help maintain website https://masshiremetronorth.org/ to ensure that it is up-to-date and accurate. ? Ensure MassHire branding compliance. Develop and support staff in developing marketing materials, including flyers and campaigns, for program initiatives. ? Attend in-person events across MNWB programs to create content.
