Job Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides high quality patient care in accordance with the established standards of nursing practice at Cambridge Health Alliance. They demonstrate initiative, robust knowledge, and evidence-based clinical skills in caring for patients who have predictable outcomes of care. They participate in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care that identifies strategies tailored to achieve expected outcomes. In addition, they effectively manage patients by conducting patient-centered histories, collecting vital signs, administering medications and immunizations, collecting specimens, and many other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited licensed practical school of nursing

• Massachusetts LPN License required

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provider Certification required

• At least 1 year experience preferred

• Knowledge of a second language preferred
