Are you looking for a new opportunity as a finance professional? A company working with Robert Half north of Boston, Massachusetts area has an imperative need for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their staff. The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a hybrid role supporting both the Financial Planning & Analysis team, as well as the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background (GL/Financial Reporting focused) with financial analysis experience or someone analytical from accounting looking to move away from purely transactional accounting work.

This position will be heavily involved in the transition to a new enterprise management tool (workday) and will assist in the design/testing phase of the implementation. The Senior Financial Analyst also works to analyze financial data and proactively and independently analyzes actual performance against budget and/or forecast for profit/loss information and other analytical data to identify, evaluate, and communicate drivers of performance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the implementation & transition of current General Ledger, Purchasing System, Budgeting and Reporting Software into new enterprise management tool

• Primary responsible individual for using, maintaining, and updating the financial analysis and reporting models to ensuring the accuracy, validity, and reliability of the model and the data.

• Responsible for adapting the financial analysis and reporting models to meet the growing and changing needs of the business and to reflect changes in the regulatory environment

• Design and implement improvements in executive level financial presentations including the Finance Committee and Board of Directors presentations.

• Responsible for updating, maintaining, and enhancing FP& A budget models and expected to coordinate their integration across finance.

• Responsible for autonomously collecting data from various sources and departments to make inputs to budget models.

• Responsible for summarizing results and key drivers of forecasting and budgeting results

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

• 5-7+ years of related experience.

• Workday a must at this point

• Adaptive Insights/Strata experience a definite plus

• Accounting/Reporting Analysis skillset including GL/Account set up

• Experience with budgeting software

• Self-starter: takes initiative to make improvements and updates to processes and projects
