The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance &repairs throughout the building. Shift is Tuesday - Saturday. Duties & Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician: Responsible for maintenance operations of the interior & exterior areas of the building. Responds to residents\' maintenance concerns. Responds & maintains all building related safety concerns & resident requests. Maintain all areas of Thirwood Place by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, & tile to ensure attractive &well-maintained facility. Survey building & repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health &safety standards. Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration & other systems & conduct repairs when necessary. Maintain heating & plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Replenishing supplies & keeping storage areas &carts well-stocked, clean, &tidy. Setting meeting spaces & garbage removal. Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures & other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Basic understanding of electrical, & other systems Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, & draperies, using vacuum cleaners &carpet extractor. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, &woodwork, waxing & polishing floors as necessary. Remove debris from driveways, garages, & swimming pool area.
