Prduct Development Engineer - Sign On Bonus Job Description The Product Development Engineer is a crucial role in the creation and development of OEM products. The Product Development Engineer works closely with Sales, Program Management, Production Management, and the customer.This role requires a strong willingness to research and learn while being self-directed. Responsibilities Develop production test processes and work instructions Create and optimize processes for testing products during production Develop detailed work instructions for manufacturing and quality control Generate and maintain product change notifications Facilitate communication regarding changes to products within the development cycle Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of changes and updates in a timely manner Create and maintain operating system base images Develop and manage base images for various operating systems, including Windows (desktop/server) and Linux (desktop/server) Meet with customers to discuss pre-production planning Engage with customers to understand their requirements and expectations Collaborate on pre-production planning to align development efforts with customer needs Consult with Program and Project Managers on technical issues Provide technical expertise to the PMs Address and resolve technical challenges that may arise during product development Design, implement, and maintain internal test process infrastructure Develop the infrastructure needed for internal testing processes Implement and continuously improve testing environment and tools Ensure the reliability and efficiency of the internal testing infrastructure Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in relevant experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Willingness to research and learn Great attention to detail and pride in accuracy Superior communication skills Understanding of x86 technologies, server technologies, storage devices and subsystems Knowledge of Dell desktop, server, and storage products a plus Self-motivated, works independently with minimal day to day supervision Work in a team environment Ability to multi-task and prioritize Must be able to pass a background check (signed release needed) Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship Salary & Benefits WCA offers competitive pay rates based on experience and ability. Full time positions include health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacation and personal time, holiday pay, 401K with company match, and long-term disability. Location: Southwick, MA (WCA Headquarters) Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, additional hours as required to complete tasks.
