MassMutual Annuity Consultant in Springfield, Massachusetts
The Opportunity
We are looking for an Annuity Consultant to join our Broker Dealer!
In this role you will provide the MassMutual Registered Representatives education on the annuity products available through the Broker Dealer. Utilizing a 3rd party platform, you will assist the Representatives in finding the best product(s) for their client situation, as well as reasonable alternatives. You will accomplish this by providing in depth information on the 30 different annuity products available, including income riders and different product designs.

The Product & Sales Desk Team partners with advisors to deliver exceptional Annuity and/or Wealth Management solutions to their clients. We provide unparalleled expertise, guidance, advice and solutions to MMFA firms and their Registered Representatives, in planning for their clients’ financial future.

You will empower our advisors to grow and diversify their practices by collaborating with credentialed and experienced experts that address broad financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide sales and/or client retention support to a specific line of business.
Develop and execute strategies to continuously improve the design and delivery of sales support and/or client retention programs.
Coordinate, plan, develop and implement sales support projects and recommend appropriate strategies, actions, and/or alternatives for business decisions relative to the projects under area of responsibility.
Responsible for resolving and/or conducting research to resolve problems and/or issues that impact sales support and/or client retention programs. May provide technical support to intermediary, field force or direct sellers.
May complete RFP responses and provide direct sales and/or client retention support to regional/ field sales and/or client/account management associates.
May perform functions which contribute to the development of strategies that help maintain, and improve existing and new sales proposals, brochures, illustrations and presentation material.
May develop/participate in and implement sales support and/or client retention training.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry working with annuities
Series 6 or 7 at time of application
Bachelor's Degree or 6 years’ experience in the financial services industry in lieu of degree
At least 1 year customer service experience
At least 2 years’ experience working with Variable, Investment Only and/ or Registered Linked Annuities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
Occasional Travel
Ideal Qualifications
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proven time management, prioritization, and project management skills
Position Location - Northeast
- Ideal candidate will be within a commutable distance to our Springfield, MA office location and will be able to work 2 days a week in office or travel to the office as needed.
