Direct Care Supervisor Full Time Springfield, MA, US Requisition ID: 1847 Salary Range: \$55,000.00 To 55,000.00 Annually Parent and Youth Support Programs Supervised Visitation Reports to: Director of Parent and Youth Support Programs Schedule: Full time, 37.5 hours/week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday with flexibility to meet program needs FLSA Status: Exempt Starting Rate: \$55,000 annually The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, counseling, SAFEPLAN court advocacy, community education, supervised visitation, and vocational training for youth. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus. Position Purpose The YWCA Supervised Visitation Program provides a safe environment for visiting children to interact with their non-residential parent when there have been allegations of domestic and/or sexual violence, dating violence or stalking. The program is designed to increase the safety of the non-violent parent during periods of parenting time. The Direct Care Supervisor is responsible for managing and providing support to interns and staff to ensure each center allows for safe, welcoming, quality and trauma-informed services Essential Responsibilities SEE THE YWCA WEBSITE FOR A LIST OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree (Preferred) with 3 to 4 years of experience in Human Services, psychology, criminal justice or social work field. (Required) Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects. (Required) Must have prior experience working with victims of violence and/or those who have perpetrated violence in an intimate partner relationship. (Required) Must have experience and knowledge of child development and impact of domestic violence on children. (Required) Familiarity with court systems and legal issues affecting victims of domestic violence. (Required) Must have excellent written, computer skills and organizational skills with preferred experience in court documentation. (Required) Must have ability to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to work effectively in partnership with program staff and leadership. (Preferred) Experience with survivors of gender-based violence and exploitation (Required) Experience addressing the impacts of decisions and actions on multiple communities (Required) Understanding of both interpersonal and structural racism and bias (Required) Access to reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license (Required) Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
