Facilities Maintenance/Safety Manager is a working supervisory position. This position will oversee the repairs, installations and upkeep of various buildings, offices and other facilities and be an integral part of the day-to-day maintenance team. Some of the main duties include designing maintenance procedures, tracking budgets and expenses and performing inspections on different facilities to find problems and make repairs. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is the leader of a company\'s maintenance department. They supervise the company\'s maintenance operations and processes. They are also responsible for assisting with budget creation tracking their expenses and creating a 5-year replacement plan for the leadership team to review. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will troubleshoot and repair any piece of machinery to ensure it works properly and is safe for employees to use. They also regularly visit the facilities they\'ve previously worked on and inspect them to see if there are any clear problems that need to be fixed. Additionally, the Facilities and Maintenance Manager must approve all installation and repair activities completed by anyone on their maintenance team or outside vendor.
