Responsibilities:

  • Key role promotes technology solutions & tools, discusses and facilitates firm strategies & viable options that provide opportunities for technology adoption, illustrating how technology can make a difference in the overall effectiveness, efficiency & productivity of a firm and advisor’s practice

  • Serves as sounding board for the field, as technology solutions are identified and delivery of the technology is in progress, proactively providing feedback & soliciting input on both the solutions and the delivery itself.

  • Routinely consults, presents and educates assigned firms on MM technology;

  • As trusted advisor to assigned firms, receives, summarizes & escalates technology concerns & challenges to appropriate Home Office resources to ensure timely review and resolution. Represents field technology views to the Home Office IT Leadership and project teams, ensuring IT remains Informed about the technology health & wellness of the firm, raising awareness of issues and opportunities as they arise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of field technology security & compliance requirements that field business partners must adhere to

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal & presentation skills, including ability to present to Firm audiences virtually & in person/onsite

  • Self-starter with strong executive presence

  • Proven track record for problem solving in a field sales Firm environment

  • 30%+ travel required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study, with an advanced degree preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on project teams, with Firm personnel and across departments in a confident & constructive manner

  • Proven ability to successfully leverage internal / external resources in achieving goals & objectives, directly improving operations and/or efficiencies of field advisors / Firms

  • Strong computer skills, including Box, MS Office (with emphasis on Skype)

Preferred Qualificaitons

  • 3 + years experience in a business environment with exposure to sales operations/agency, advisory setting

  • Strong technical background with solid knowledge of /experience in a MassMutual Firm environment (ideal)

  • Create strong alignment & partnership with Field Management Regional Vice Presidents & their teams

  • Develop and maintain relationships with General Agents and firm management teams

  • Promote / communicate proactively regarding technology programs & services

  • Consult, educate and promote new technologies within assigned firms, driving adoption that meets/exceeds established firm's technology adoption targets

  • Identify new opportunities for technology to make a difference for advisors and firms

  • Routinely schedule onsite visits to assigned firms to discuss technology initiatives and gather feedback

  • Assist IT delivery teams in facilitation of pilot activities

  • Represent firm interests/readiness in MM technology projects & rollouts

  • Participate in/provide guidance in the hiring of firm technical staff

  • Guide, mentor, train firm-hired technical resources

  • Provide standardized reporting on firm technology status (currency, challenges, project deployments)

  • Educate executive team on firm footprint, focus areas, unique and/or challenging technology situations in the field

  • Drive monthly Technology Teleconferences

  • Provide insights and content for GAX/AAX technology committee meetings

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
