Health and Safety Inspector Job Category: Laborer Requisition Number: MAINT005476 Full-Time Corporate Office Springfield, MA 011071104, USA Job Details Description This position will support all of CHD\'s residential, housing and outpatient programs, ensuring program facilities comply with required health and safety inspections. This position will also be responsible for identifying maintenance needs that can be addressed in the moment or entered into the facilities ticketing system for triage. This position will report to the Director of Facilities and will also indirectly report to the Vice President of Quality and Compliance (organizational dotted line). Essential Job Functions ? Coordinates inspection with local city building and fire department ? Conduct quarterly visual inspections identifying safety issues with the exterior of properties, roof, internal living spaces, basement, utilities, and other items. ? Conducts annual Health and Safety Inspections of all residential and non-residential facilities as per a schedule generated by the Director of Facilities and items specified in an External Health and Safety Inspection form. ? Upon completion of quarterly and annual inspections (as above) ensures uploading of completed inspection forms to a centralized electronic file, accessible to both Property Management and OE. ? Identify and correct any minor maintenance concerns identified during inspections ? Create a facilities ticket for maintenance concerns identified that cannot be addressed in the moment ? Ensures any and all facilities-related licenses required by municipalities and programs are up to date and ensures uploading of completed licenses to a centralized electronic file, accessible to both Property Management and OE. ? Responsible to display each up to date facilities related license appropriately at each site. ? Ensure all fire extinguishers are inspected, up to date, and tagged. ? Collaborates with Organizational Excellence, program staff, and property management to update policies and procedures related to health and safety. ? Tracks completion of monthly Internal Health and Safety Inspections completed by site staff related to compliance and licensing requirements and collaborates with the OE Compliance Auditor to ensure each completed inspection is uploaded to a centralized electronic file, accessible to both Property Management and OE ? Provides support during licensing and regulatory audits. ? Identifies potential risks with internal controls ? Assists in tracking of compliance requirements needed for CARF ? Ability and willingness to perform minor maintenance related tasks identified during inspections ? Assists assigned OE Compliance Auditor to ensure fire drills are completed, documented and uploaded to a centralized electronic file, accessible to both Property Management and OE in a timely manner. The candidate for this position will have experience within facilities and or safety management or a background within town planning, Fire service and or building construction. The Candidate will be required to read and interpret state and federal regulations, have good communication and collaboration skills and work within set timelines Qualifications Education Preferred High School or better.
