Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that provides services to children, adults & families. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities. Join our Corporate Team as a Health and Safety Specialist. Work side-by-side with the Safety Director to measure, inspect, and evaluate safety hazards and prevent harm to staff. This role is responsible for tasks that support the Health and Safety Department manage and adhere to safety standards set in place by BHN\'s contractual and regulatory requirements. You will evaluate and make recommendations based on the severity of the potential harm or danger presented and maintain reports and analysis of work product. What will I do day-to- day? Assists the Health and Safety Director in the deployment of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives. Partakes in all aspects of the Health and Safety life cycle ensuring compliance with national regulations and local and international standards. Conducts on-site Health and Safety inspections, audits, and assessments to evaluate and ensure internal compliance with organization safety practices. Participates in State, City/Town Building, and Fire Inspections in collaboration with BHN?s Facilities department. Works with BHN\'s Facilities Team to participate, track, and follow up on organization compliance of safety-related inspections including, but not limited to: City/Town Building Inspections, State Building Inspections, Fire Department Inspections, Fire Suppression Systems, and Fire Alert Systems Creates risk assessment and analysis reports using identified safety compliance indicators raised during inspections and audits. Works with assigned Facilities staff to track and complete annual ADA reviews for each BHN location. Schedules and attends site safety reviews with BHN\'s insurance provider representative. Supports site specific emergency drill training as needed. Acts as liaison between onsite safety leadership and the Safety department. Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same? PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years Occupational Health & Safety experience. Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards preferred. Knowledge of CARF, ASPIRE: Health and Safety standards preferred. Knowledge of DDS, DPH, BSAS and DMH Health and Safety regulations preferred.
