Western New England University Human Resource Assistant in Springfield, Massachusetts
Human Resources Assistant Looking to work in a team environment where your contributions will make a difference while expanding your skills and experience in Human Resources? Our Human Resources team is looking to add to the team someone with strong administrative skills who can provide administrative support and be responsible for several administrative Human Resources tasks. Responsibilities include: Respond to employment verifications Preparing training materials and setting up training sessions Processing and maintain I-9 forms Tracking monthly HR expenses and submitting invoices for payment Handling data entry tasks into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) i.e. student employment, address changes, etc. Assist with preparing benefit packets Provide administrative/clerical support as requested Manage the Associate VP and Director of Human Resources calendar Provide clerical assistance with special departmental projects as needed Qualifications: Associate\'s degree in human resources or related field preferred; high school diploma or GED equivalent required Two plus years of relevant experience working in HR Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite Strong attention to detail Highly organized and efficient with the ability to multi-task; excellent time-management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to follow directions accurately and determine improvements and efficiencies, and recommend changes Ability to work independently as needed HR competence and knowledge of HR process and computer programs.
