This position is responsible for the administration, enhancement design and testing and maintenance support of the Learning Management System (LMS) Pinpoint for MML Investors Services, Inc. (MMLIS) including the publishing of training content. It has responsibility for the relationship management with the LMS vendor. It also partners with MMLIS Operations, MMLIS Product, MMFA Sales, and field agencies on field access to training. This position also has responsibility for the creation of training for MML Investors Services LLC (MMLIS) products. Development is mainly e-Learning and reference sheets.

MMLIS training team is responsible for determining the strategy, creation, implementation and management for all MMLIS training needs. This includes analyzing current training material, identifying new training opportunities with the launch of new programs or product roll-outs and the storage of all materials within a learning management system (LMS).

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Strong working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Pinpoint desired.

  • Strong working knowledge of MMLIS.

  • Knowledge in all areas of Instructional Design (ADDIE Model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation of training).

  • Strong performance consulting skills. Identify the performance skills, knowledge and information gaps of a targeted audience and recommend and create learning experiences to close these gaps.

  • Strong design skills in word and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Brainshark and Articulate360

  • Strong project management / time management

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Ability to demonstrate strong process improvement skills/behavior

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Manages all aspects of the LMS

  • Manages field and home office access to training based on specified criteria

  • Publishes to Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Monitors, troubleshoots and responds to training team email box.

  • Conducts needs assessment and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development for new product rollouts and new platforms.

  • Partner with MMLIS Product team to ensure efforts are aligned and utilizing consistent training tools and approaches.

  • Creates content development, design and implementation of instructional materials through multiple media delivery methods such as webcsting, e-Learning and written materials.

  • Regularly assesses and maintains existing MMLIS product required and recommended training materials and makes updates.

  • Works closely and partners with MMLIS Product, Operations and Communication as well as MMFA Compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Series 7 preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire date

  • 5+ years related experience in the financial services industry

  • 3-5+ years related experience in instructional design

  • 3-5+ years in managing an Learning Management System

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
