Description:

Position Purpose : The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients. This critical role assists in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient.

This position is located in an outpatient clinic office environment. Thoracic Specialty servicing the following service lines: Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology, Lung Screening Program, Firefighter Cancer Screening Program and Incidental Nodule (FIND) Program

What Will You Do :

  • The Clinical Program Coordinator/Nurse Navigator acts as the single point of contact for all thoracic patients.

  • Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements.

  • Utilizes evidence-based practice or research within clinical practice.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing required or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will consider an Associate’s in nursing with a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.

  • Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.

  • Certification: CPR certification required.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ nursing experience.
