Full Time 37.5 hrs/week position Summary Description: The Painting Associate is responsible for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces to create beautiful spaces for our residents to live and team members to work. May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to apartment turnovers, apartment renovations, and other capital projects. Essential Functions: Performs job functions in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and guiding principles of the Loomis Communities. Adheres to the Loomis Communities Compliance and Ethics Program. Demonstrates an awareness of, a respect for and attention to the diversity of the people with whom they interact (persons served, personnel, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that is reflected in attitudes, behavior and services. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure high quality workmanship and timely completion of assigned duties. Prepares painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint as needed. Prepares the project area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes, taping off areas as needed, and moves furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project including the removal of fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers. Mixes and applies paints and other finishes to various surfaces. Uses hand and power tools when needed. Carries out painting services according to established timeframes, in a thoughtful, efficient, safe, and professional manner. Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas. Maintains logs of services provided, materials used, time spent, and tasks performed through established documentation systems. Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards, including but not limited to CARF/CCAC, Life safety, DPH, CMS, EOEA, OSHA, and NFPA. Implement corrective action and preventive measures. Assist with maintaining department records, etc. Use safety equipment and ventilators to ensure that everyone on the job is safe at all times. Communicate, respond, and cooperate effectively with: Corporate Project Manager, Apartment Turnover Supervisor, and all other staff, residents, contractors, vendors etc., with regard to all project details, including quality of workmanship, materials needed, timeline for completion, punch lists, resident requests, etc. Assist the Apartment Turnover Supervisor with various duties as needed. Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma / Trade school or equivalent Required Experience 1| 2 years in a painting role Skills/Competencies To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following: Time management and analytical skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, and quality control. The ability to repair and paint walls, ceilings, doors, etc. The ability to work efficiently alone or in a team. The ability to perform minor carpentry work.
