Payroll Clerk Job Type - Permanent Pay Rate - \$22.00 - \$27.00 / Hourly Description DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT POSITION: Payroll Clerk in Springfield, MA! FULLY ONSITE Salary: Up to \$27/hour, full time! Job Description: Our client, a small construction company, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join their team in Springfield, MA. This is a full-time, onsite position with flexible schedule in a casual work environment. The Payroll Clerk will play a crucial role in processing certified payroll for under 100 employees on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in job costing and timesheet data entry. Responsibilities: Certified Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end processing of certified payroll for a workforce of under 100 employees. Data Entry: Accurately enter timesheet information into the payroll system and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. Job Costing: Collaborate with project managers to allocate labor costs to specific construction projects, ensuring accurate job costing. Bilingual Skills: Highly preferred if bilingual in English and Spanish, as effective communication with a diverse workforce is essential. Construction Industry Knowledge: Utilize your understanding of construction industry payroll practices to address specific challenges and requirements. Onsite Presence: This is a fully onsite position, and remote work is not available. Regular and punctual attendance is crucial. Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll processing. Qualifications: Prior experience in an accounting clerk capacity. Data Entry Skills: Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Bilingual (English/Spanish): preferred due to the diverse nature of our workforce. Communication Skills.
