Program Supervisor Licensed Job Category: First/Mid Level Mgmt Requisition Number: PROGR005622 Full-Time On-site Early Intervention Springfield, MA 01107, USA Job Details Description The Program Supervisor will provide clinical early intervention supervision to the team, comprising: Developmental Specialists, LCSW/LICSW, Mental Health Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS All the responsibilities of the direct service clinicians. Clinical and administrative supervision of one or more social workers and/or other direct service staff as assigned by the Program Director. Regular face-to-face supervision of direct service staff to assess and guide and monitor their interventions with clients. Monitor and manage the administrative aspects of the worker\'s clinical work, including paperwork, productivity, work habits, and interaction with other employees. With the worker, provide the annual evaluation of work performance, and recommend changes in employment status and compensation as appropriate to the Program Director. With the worker, develop the annual training plan. Teach, guide, mentor and problem solve with the worker. With other clinical supervisors and the Program Director, develop and coordinate in-service training to address common needs of the program staff and interns. Supervise student interns as required. Act as liaison with the schools which supervisees attend. Assign clinical cases if delegated by the Program Director, and manage the waiting list. Provide clinical backup to the staff. Assist staff to handle emergencies and ethical conflicts. Provide administrative backup in the Program Director?s or Site Manager\'s absence. PERFORMANCE CRITERIA Programmatic goals are carried out by supervisees, or effective corrective strategies are implemented. Personal and staff productivity meet expectations. Evaluations and other administrative tasks are done in an effective and timely manner. Teaching style and communication skills are effective in helping supervisees to succeed and interact professionally with other staff, clients, and the community. PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT - necessary to develop to full potential professionally Seeks and uses training opportunities external to the Agency Attends Agency-required trainings Participates in relevant Agency and/or community task forces Engages in self-evaluation to develop professional goals Able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks assigned due to changing environments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and the ability to learn new programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MSW or M.A. in social work or counseling four years or more demonstrated competence in both theoretical knowledge and direct service practice At least one year staff supervision or two years graduate student supervision. Demonstrated ability to teach others, effective oral and written communication skills. LICSW licensure in Massachusetts or LMHC licensure in Massachusetts.
