Viability Senior Facilities Supervisor in Springfield, Massachusetts

*$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days) *
Position: Senior Facilities Supervisor
Service Areas: 22 sites (7 owned) in MA and 2 sites (1 owned) in CT. Facilities Support Specialist has daily use of a Viability truck for work serving our sites.
Rate of Pay: $27-$29 Per hour
Hours: Weekdays 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility for other hours and days as needed
Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible to provide hands-on, daily site maintenance and repairs to our facilities. Responsibilities include performing basic maintenance and repairs at Viability sites based on work orders/requests entered into the building engines on-line ticketing system. This position supervises two overnight remote security monitors, and coordinates work with assigned vendors. The supervisor ensures their work meets standards for safety and quality, with an understanding of priorities for the purpose of supporting daily operations, site safety and security. Ensures compliance with regulations and contractual requirements are met in service to Viability’s mission and programs, in line with our vision, strategy, operational goals, and values.
Requirements:
Must be able to supervise two overnight security monitors.
Must respond to work order requests and prioritize based upon urgency.
Requires the ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs for the upkeep of various programs.
Must maintain Viability owned maintenance items including a work vehicle.
Responsible for grounds keeping, snow removal, and furniture moving.
Experience or certification for performing basic maintenance, grounds keeping and repair functions strongly preferred.
High school diploma, GED or Hi-Set required/ or evidence of ability to read and follow directions and perform math at a 8th grade level
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have solid time management skills.
Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
Responsibilities:
Basic repairs and upkeep (e.g. changing lights, replacing plates, caulking, sealing, installing blinds, checking thermostats, small leaks, battery replacement, etc.)
Operating and maintaining equipment, supplies and tools
Wall hangings/wall mounts (unless specialized)
Bringing larger facilities needs to the attention of the Property Manager
Groundskeeping (if not under contract)
Painting re-touch, small jobs
Wall hangings/wall mounts (unless specialized)
Snow clearing, de-icing (if not under contract)
Temperature (supplemental space heaters, fans)
Furniture Moving (Light) and New Hire site set-up
