Overview:

The Senior Marketing Coordinator is instrumental in the strategic planning and execution of content, events and promotions to encourage growth and engagement in our sales team. This role is responsible for content creation on multiple digital platforms, internal email marketing and product campaigns, performance analysis and tracking projects from start to finish. This role also designs customer-facing promotional material including catalogs, point of sale and other campaign media to promote targeted growth opportunities and brings new communications channels to our Specialist focuses. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will actively assist the Marketing Manager in direct communication with our supplier partners to execute major marketing initiatives throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be creatively driven with strong organizational skills to take on multiple projects at once.

Senior Marketing Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Owns internal communication channels with focus on weekly email sales dashboard and SMS text, implementing content strategically and consistently.

  • Directs the implementation of support tools for major activities throughout the year including digital video libraries, digital and print catalogs, and strategic category point of sale and support materials for live training opportunities.

  • Leads strategic planning of digital content from creation to execution, monitoring the production process and implementation timing driven by company initiatives and seasonality.

  • Coordinates directly with Specialist team and external supplier partners to create meaningful content to support our promotional needs and drive growth across multiple platforms. Develops relationships across many departments and our vendor community to drive results.

  • Tracks and executes marketing and advertising activities based on our local supplier program commitments and industry changes.

  • Manages web platforms to develop internal and external communication plans based on strategic needs. Creates product campaigns with consistent branding across multiple web platforms and analyzes performance both during and after these campaigns to determine level of success.

  • Develops reporting structures to judge the success of marketing initiatives. Reestablishes new strategies based on knowledge from prior campaigns, constantly seeks to improve approach and performance.

  • Communicates promotional objectives and standings to sales team for both local and corporate initiatives.

  • Assists in planning major events and training opportunities as needed including two major food shows annually, regular internal sales trainings and vendor networking events, and minor regional customer events.

  • Regularly communicates details of events directly to external supplier partners, internal sales associates and specialists, and venue as needed.

  • Sources event and travel opportunities with venues on varying scale. Assists in overnight accommodations as needed.

  • Creates and manipulates marketing content including product catalogs, points of sale, menus, and invitations. Assists in the commercialized printing process and distribution.

  • Seeks feedback from team periodically to improve execution procedures.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma

• 2-4 years of previous experience in a similar role working in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience building and manipulating graphics and video content with Canva.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specializing in Adobe InDesign.

• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint applications.

• Strong communicator with ability to thrive/prosper in cross functional teams.

• Great attention to detail and strong time management skills. Ability to handle many projects at once.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
