Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Staffing Coordinator to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Mercy Medical Center . This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

This critical role Performs various duties related to patient assistance, patient transportation and the cleaning of the operating rooms and general surgical area.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-time

  • 40 hours per week

  • 8-hour DAY shift

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Responsible for monitoring and coordinating payroll for all departments within the Inpatient Nursing Services Department. Ensures accuracy and consistency throughout the Division.

  • Audits the use of premium overtime and attendance. Ensures timely submission of weekly payroll; monitors and approves discrepancies.

  • Resolves colleague relations matters by researching personnel policies. Acts as a resource in the interpretation of nursing union contract, Human Resource issues, and payroll discrepancies.

  • Assists the Director and Leadership Teams with day-to-day variance tracking and review of vacancy submissions.

  • Prepares and maintains weekly staffing schedules according to MNA policy for posting on Nursing Units, taking into consideration the MNA contract, excessive OT, and meeting the staffing ratio/need.

Requirements :

  • Education : General knowledge normally acquired through receipt of a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of database development spread sheet and word processing computer applications.

  • Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal skills and customer service orientation in order to work effectively with both managers and staff.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience : Experience in staffing and payroll systems (i.e. Kronos), ideally preferred.
